Impulse switch for safe disconnection
None of our devices have been produced in such large quantities and with such great success as our impulse switch. Hundreds of thousands of them have been sold all over the world. It is available in various versions and further developments. It was developed out of necessity because the progressive replacement of relay technology by integrated circuits had not yet provoked a reaction from the installation industry. The highly integrated call systems with energy-saving technology had to control power-hungry contactors to switch the bed and ceiling lighting in patient rooms, often with fatal consequences.
Together with increasing safety requirements, the protection of the patient against 230V was also far from sufficient to prevent body currents. Our impulse switch, which was actually only intended as a supplement to our own systems, was immediately absorbed by the market; the competition and almost all manufacturers of medical technology systems and light rails worldwide now rely on our product. Now that the nurse call standard DIN VDE 0834 has come into force, there is no way around our small device.
Special features of the EFE relays
All our relays and impulse switches work with safe isolation in accordance with the EN 60601-1 standard, which applies to all medical electrical devices.
MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) is a protective measure designed to reduce the risk of electric shock to the patient. Our devices are 2x MOPP tested.
With the exception of relay R24/16, all our relays/ impulse switches have their own internal power supply.

Impulse switch DRS-P
The double impulse switch contains three control circuits for program-controlled independent or linked switching of two separate normally open contacts.

Impulse switch RSI
Impulse switch for particularly high inrush currents with normally closed and normally open contact for switching lights in systems with increased requirements for interference immunity and electrical isolation in accordance with EN60601-1 (2xMOPP) and DIN VDE 0834.

Relay with safe isolation to EN60601-1 (2xMOPP) and DIN VDE 0834 for installation in the sub-distribution board for switching lighting or other loads.
